Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American photojournalist and journalist who has covered natural and war-related disasters for more than 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of those who live in these places. Curry covered wars in Kosovo, Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. In the role of an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregon she began her career in broadcasting. She was the first woman journalist for the station at aged 22. Then she was promoted to the role of anchor and reporter for KGW an NBC station in Portland, Oregan. After four years, she relocated to Los Angeles and became a reporter for KCBS TV. She won the award of two Emmy Awards during the six years with the station.
