Amybeth McNulty is an Irish-Canadian actress. She is famous for her role as the main character Anne Shirley in the CBC/Netflix drama series Anne with an E, inspired by the 1908 book Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Amybeth McNulty, born 7 November 2001, is daughter of an Irish father and a Canadian father and an Irish mother. Amybeth was conceived on November 7th 2001, in Ireland. Amybeth turns twenty-one in 2023. She was raised within the island of Donegal in Ireland. She is a dual citizen with Irish citizenship and Canadian citizenship. Her hair is naturally blonde. Anne has a strong bond with Gilbert Blythe. Gilbert is an older two years that Anne who had to drop out of school after his dad became in a coma. Gilbert taunted Anne by calling her Carrots in the first meeting of their school. Amybeth McNulty stars as Anne, a 13-year-old who has been through a difficult childhood living at orphanages as well as the homes of strangers. Anne, a 13-year-old orphan, who was raised in a secluded setting for the majority of her childhood is sent through a mistake to the aging Cuthbert brothers on Prince Edward Island. It is now 1919 as the show is ending. Gilbert, who is 55 at this time and still in love with Anne from Green Gables is happy.
